This is an entirely Victorian-based story, set in the summer of 1859.
Cyril Kamelot has recently become Prime Minister of Great Britain; Tyki Mikk has recently returned from five years as Lieutenant-Governor of Punjab. Debitt and Jasdero [herein referred to as David and Jasdero] have grown into fine young men: David is a rising star lieutenant in the Royal Navy, while Jasdero assists his uncle with Parliamentary affairs. Lulubelle has recently married a young man by the name of Benjamin Disraeli. Rhode has come of age, and the summer of 1859 will be her first Season as a marriageable young woman.
